Midday and a desert market. It couldn't be wronger... This is such a powerful and sour and upsetting image. We are going down the same road in Italy, and more and more people are joining a forced vegetarianism. My family too, I rarely buy meat, and anyway only chicken because it is cheaper. And thank god for the school canteen...
At the same time the rich who got even richer buy their food from meat boutiques and ridicoulously expensive delicatessen. Thus the rage of the simple people which led to the beat up of a former minister. I strongly disagree in whatever form of violence and I feel sorry for the guy but violence has many faces. Such austerity measures are raw violence themselves!
