Description

Sometimes I feel life heavy on my shoulders...
Sometimes I wish I could just lie down like a stray dog...
Sometimes I wish I could lift my eyes from the ground and look at the sun again...

DEDICATED to all the Greek people who didn't steal any public money,
who didn't led their country to bankruptcy, who are losing their jobs and whose dreams are shot down to pieces.

I really like this photo. It is indeed a great example of skilled street photography. First, I love the tonality. So often these days, digital b/w has a lackluster appeal. Either you shot this in film, or you did an excellent job of post work to make the digital image have a good depth of tone. All these excellent shades of grey. The rich blacks, and the awesome shades of grey on the tile. I love the tonality in this picture.

Another aspect I enjoy is the slight motion blur on his foot. Excellent capture of change and motion.

The interplay of the objects here is interesting. You have a human man, casting his gaze down... like a downcast soul. The lifeless maniquin's are the only ones looking out and up - as one would expect a living man to do. It's like they changed roles... he's technically alive, but taking on the role of the lifeless and the maniquin's which have no life, appear to be filled with it.

All in all you did an excellent job, and I hope to see more of your work.
