Friday night Specials v1.1 - The comeback
It was Friday, the 13th of March 2009 when the idea of featuring every Friday the Yard submissions that I liked more, came to my mind. Since then,  this weekly feature became a habit to me and there are very few Fridays that I didn't make it. When I took the position of dA's Street Community Volunteer, I moved this feature from the Yard where I used to post it and relaunched it in my personal account, this time featuring images from all over dA, regardless if they had been submitted to the Yard, or not. Now I feel it's time again for this weekly feature, to move back where it started. To the Yard Street Photography Group. The most hospitable place for a Street Photographer.

I honestly cannot imagine a street photographer, amateur or professional,
who hasn't done it - photographed a person from behind, that is.
I know I have. Many times! And I never get tired of it.
So what is it about these particular styles of street photography like, silhouettes, posters, and beggars, that we always keep going back to them?

Damian ChrobakBorn in Jastrzebie Zdroj (Poland), Damian studied photography at Academy of Photography in Warsaw.
After the first year he decided to look for a different direction and began his search for a photography
he could really call his own. He came to London, where he completed a Black & White Photography course
at the University of the Arts London. Discovering street photography became a turning point in his life.
Damian has been documenting London’s streets life for the last few years with some great results.
He had a few solo and group exhibitions in Poland as well as in England and last year he exhibited
as part of 5th European Month of Phothography in Berlin. In January 2010 he was honoured to receive
a membership of ZPAF (Association of Polish Art Photographers).
Damian is the main person behind the street photography group known as UN-POSED, which has been brought
to life in 2011 and one may get quite surprised uppon reading through the names...

What amazes me about the Street Photographs featured in this journal, is how they seem so alike in appearance, but at the same time, they are so vastly different in concept, theme and/or execution.
As we welcome another year of promoting Street, it gives me immense pleasure in presenting a selection of absolutely brilliant works that will make you stand back and really appreciate how these Artists, despite being worlds apart, still respond to and capture their environments in such a way that if you didn't know better, you'd be convinced that the images displayed below were taken by the same person. 
I can't think of a better example that could so vividly illustrate that all human beings, despite our differences - be it cultural, religious, political, or whatever...  are in
There's something about StammyStam, you know you're one of the responsible for me start
doing Street photography. I still remember that reply, once, on FB:
"Don't forget, street is a serious thing!... " So, not only I have to
thank you for guiding me into the right path, but also for being such an
inspiration to us all, with your talent and engaging effort, for
promoting Street Photography to the highest level in dA, and most of
