Before making a suggestion, check that the deviant hasn't already received a Daily Deviation within the past SIX (6) months, is still an active deviant and is not yourself.
FAQ #313: How can I find out if someone already has a Daily Deviation?

When making your suggestion, please send it to me in a note with the words, "DD Suggestion," as the Subject. I will get to your suggestion as soon as possible.

Be sure to include the deviation's :thumbxxxxxxx: code in the note.

It would be wonderful and very helping if you also include your reasons for suggesting the deviation for a DD. It doesn't have to be much, just few lines.

While all suggestions will be looked at and considered, please be aware that it is not possible for all suggestions to make it as a DD. So always feel free to continue suggesting other deviations.

If you consider suggesting images with empty streets, buildings, converse shoes, your girl/boy friends or any staged or manipulated image, please don't bother. These images are simply NOT Street Photography.

Few helpful hints for street DD suggestions

I like featuring relatively unknown to the community photographers and not the ones who already have been featured a lot of times.

I like better street shots from close, which put one right into the action, without totally rejecting shots from far, which showcase a carefully composed scene pleasing to the eye.

I am not fond of beggar and homeless shots, from people who just sit still, or from shots of people just passing in front of a poster. As a matter of fact, I don't like "just" shots! (Just another guy, Just another pretty girl, Just another backshot, just another street musician etc.) but I'm seeking for those special moments that take place out in public places with people interacting with their environment in a special, unusual, unique way which forms a story worth telling by an image.

I am not fond of pictures of people shot from the back unless we're talking about very special images.

I believe that a good street shot needs nothing more than minor adjustments in contrast and sharpness.

I like shots where even if one thinks one is close enough, one gets even closer!

I know that the street genre is a very misunderstood one, a very broad one almost with no limits and is higly subject to each one's peronal tastes. I will respect your taste, please respect mine.

I am 48 years old, with a full time job, a lovely wife and 2 wonderful kids, and a real demanding life. I'm here for the love of Photography, which for me is a hobby and not a profession. So, if If I don't get back to you immediately (specially during the weekends), please don't get mad at me. It's bad for the health

There isn't much I can do for the state the Street gallery is.
If you wanna see "street" go to the Street Groups and support them.
There are plenty of them. Choose the ones you like best and stick to them.
