STREET PHOTOGRAPHY TUTORIAL - PART ONE
THE HUMAN SUBJECT
(article from photo4u.it - il portale italiano della fotografia translated and adapted to dA by *myraincheck)
That's good, the HUMAN PRESENCE is a fundamental element of street photography.
If we want to use only this ingredient, we'll be able to realize a true street photo only if the person we capture will have something unusual or interesting or is doing something unusual or interesting. Otherwise we'll have a good portrait, an enviromental portrait, a wide portrait whatever, but not a street photo.

CONNECTIONS
The first thing we can do is connecting two or more persons together. Similarity, opposition, symmetry, repetition of details, whatever. What matters is to HIGHLIGHT something special.

`StamatisGR: When I first saw this picture I was left speechless! What are the chances? 2 pairs of men(similarity), 1 pair coming 1 going(opposition), both pairs dressed in the same way (repetition), one pair wears helmets the other is bald (similarity). The photo could be staged. But it's not! And this makes it a perfect street shot!
